In the video, we examine the condition of the trees, fruit development, and the pressure of the most important pests currently present in the orchard. I begin by showing the temperature measured in the tree canopy, which reached 43.9°C. Such high values ​​have a direct impact on the condition of the plants and the growth rate of the fruit. I also discuss the current condition of the Ligol variety, where the fruit has already reached a very good size in some areas. I point out that summer pruning will be necessary in many plots to improve light access to the fruit and achieve better color before harvest. Later in the video, we examine the pest situation. I analyze the catches from pheromone traps, show current butterfly activity, and assess the threat posed by leafrollers. I also check under the leaves for spider mites and other small pests. Regular inspections allow me to make early decisions about potential protective measures. I also discuss the impact of weather on the orchard. I show areas that were previously flooded, causing trees to develop less well than others. Finally, we visit the Sander variety, where the effects of spring damage and the recent hailstorm are visible. Although minor damage has appeared on the fruit, there's a chance that it will fade with ripening and won't significantly impact marketability.
