'In The Wilderness' by 'Those Darlins' is taken from their third album 'Blur The Line' which was released in October 2013 on the band's own label 'Oh Wow Dang' records. The video was directed by friends of the band 'Veta & Theo' of 'Ovvio Arte' who said, "We were hung up in an opium den in Tangiers with nothing more than a toothbrush and a copy of 'Blur The Line'. Baudelaire was there ranting about his spleen and insisting that we listen to 'In The Wilderness' repeatedly when 'Those Darlins' called and asked us if we were ready to come home and get to work. We put on our war paint and did just that." 'Those Darlins' are also giving away 'In The Wilderness' as a FREE download via their main website: http://www.thosedarlins.com/ The album 'Blur The Line' was produced by Roger Moutenot (Yo La Tengo, John Cale, Jeff The Brotherhood) and before officially announcing the album, the band hung up a banner of the cover art, which features the nude legs and torsos of the four members of the band, in front of Nashville record store Grimey's New & Preloved Music. Local Fox News affiliate WZTV ran a story on the offensive nature of the banner, which then caused controversy among those concerned with the display of the image on a well-trafficked street. The band took credit for the image but claimed that the controversy it sparked was unintentional. Soon after, Paste Magazine announced that 'Blur The Line' would be released on October 1st and shared videos for the tracks 'Oh God' and 'Optimist'. Spin called 'Blur The Line' "tough and seductive", while Blurt said that "song writing/arranging this masterful elevates 'Blur The Line' to modern-classic status." 'Those Darlins' are an alternative band from Nashville, Tennessee who formed in 2006. To date the group has released three albums, their alt-country leaning self-titled debut 'Those Darlins' in 2009, the garage rock influenced 'Screws Get Loose' in 2011, and the more classic rock and roll 'Blur The Line' in 2013.
