Preparing cross-country ski trails with a tractor? Sounds unusual, but it works surprisingly well! – The Vorarlberg-based company Müller Fahrzeugtechnik, in collaboration with the Tyrolean tractor manufacturer Lindner, has developed an interesting overall concept for maintaining cross-country ski trails, ski slopes, winter hiking trails, and toboggan runs: a Lintrac 90 with Soucy Tracks tracks and a special snowplough and cross-country track tiller. The development goal was to offer a cost-effective alternative to snow groomers in times of snow scarcity and increasingly shorter winters. This should enable small communities, as well as private ski and cross-country clubs, to continue operating professional cross-country trails in the future.
