VATANDAŞ TEPKİ GÖSTERDİ; OTELDEN AÇIKLAMA GELDİ

Citizens React; Hotel Issues Statement The sea in front of a hotel in Bodrum turned brown. Following the incident, which drew protests from local residents, the hotel has issued a statement. The sea in front of a hotel operating in the Akyarlar neighborhood turned brown. Residents who noticed the color change recorded the event and expressed their disapproval. The footage was shared on social media. The hotel management, contacted by Kent Haber, denied the allegations of waste discharge, stating: “Yesterday, there was a sand leveling operation on the beach. This operation was carried out with the permission of the Muğla Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry. Some of this sand surfaced and was carried by the waves towards the hotel's headland, disappearing shortly afterward. It is not wastewater or discharge water in any way. We have a state-of-the-art treatment plant. We purify wastewater through biological transformation and use it as garden water. Furthermore, thanks to our technology, Akçabük Bay has the clearest and cleanest sea on the Bodrum Peninsula. When you check the National Blue Flag website, you will see that Xanadu Island Hotel has a Blue Flag award. The Ministry of Agriculture publishes seawater analysis reports every 15 days.” The hotel management also stated that they will pursue legal action regarding the unfounded and misleading news and posts.
