Controlling The Cine Camera in UE5 MADE EASY
If you’re struggling to get smooth camera control in Unreal Engine — the fix might not be tweaking the camera at all. Instead, it’s using a trick built right into UE5: the Look At feature. Most beginners fight with rotating the Cine Camera Actor manually or setting endless keyframes. But with an Empty Actor as your target, your camera can automatically track it — and you just move the target instead of the camera. It’s faster, easier, and makes cinematic control way smoother. In this video, I’ll show you step by step how to set up a Cine Camera with a Look At target, why I name mine like CAM003 and CAM003_LookAt for clean organization, and how to push it further with Sequencer by adding subtle noise to create that handheld camera look.
