Route from Puerto del Carmen to Puerto Calero 🌊 Hello, eco-hikers! Welcome to a new adventure with Pepe's RUTAS eco. Today, we head to the incredible coastline between the municipalities of Tías and Yaiza on Lanzarote to hike a coastal trail that combines volcanic landscapes and cliffs with a truly special return journey. We begin our walk in vibrant Puerto del Carmen, taking advantage of the weather to freely explore the coves and beaches before setting off on a trail that winds along the Atlantic Ocean. It is a spectacular coastal route where the contrast between the volcanic landscape and the sea will take your breath away. We’ll walk along, feeling the sea breeze, until we reach the exclusive, tranquil enclave of Puerto Calero in the municipality of Yaiza. But the adventure doesn't end there! To complete the loop in the most sustainable and beautiful way possible, we’ll board the local ferry to return by sea to our starting point, enjoying a completely different perspective of the coastline we just hiked. 📊 Route Details (To help you pack your backpack): Start / Finish: Puerto del Carmen (Lanzarote). Walking distance: Approximately 12 km (5 km one-way along the coastal trail). Difficulty: Low-Moderate (suitable for almost everyone, though some sections have loose rocky terrain). Return: By ferry (a must-do experience!). Eco-Tip: Don't forget your reusable water bottle and biodegradable sunscreen—and, of course, leave the trail cleaner than you found it!
