Oisans Cycling: The Easier Alpe d’Huez Warm-Up Nobody Talks About
Ride one of the easiest and most scenic cycling loops in the Oisans. Starting from Bourg-d’Oisans, this relaxed ride follows the Voie Verte to Allemond, climbs the EDF dam, loops Lac du Verney, visits the Allemond church, and finishes with a short climb to Oz village. This is a perfect first-day ride, rest-day loop, or beginner route before tackling Alpe d’Huez, the Col du Glandon, or the Croix de Fer. The route is calm, accessible almost all year round, and even hosts part of the Alpe d’Huez Triathlon. Distance: ~35 km from Bourg-d’Oisans Elevation: ~300 m Ideal for beginners, recovery days, and warm-ups Quiet roads, lake views, alpine villages Leave a comment and visit the page below to receive a free GPX route file of my ride https://morethan21bends.com/oisans-cy...
