Enjoying one last traditional Gaucho BBQ/Churrasco in Porto Alegre before returning to the Azores 🇧🇷🥩 Our final week in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul was unforgettable! After 7 beautiful weeks visiting my in-laws, it’s time to pack our bags and head back home to São Miguel Island in the Azores. But we couldn’t leave without one last epic celebration of family, incredible friends, and great food. We’re kicking off the week with a traditional Gaucho BBQ (Churrasco) hosted by our amazing neighbors—and let me tell you, there was absolutely no shortage of food! Plus, we hosted a thank-you dinner for the neighbors, tried exotic new fruits like the Coco fruit, and my husband raced against the clock to finish a special DIY project for his parents before our flight. Finally, my mother-in-law prepared a beautiful farewell family lunch that had us all feeling emotional. Saying goodbye is never easy, but we are so grateful for these memories.
