One of the biggest surprises from the Ministry of National Defense's R&D at SAHA 2026 was the YILDIRIMHAN hypersonic missile system and two new domestic engine projects. These two domestic engine projects developed by the Ministry of National Defense's R&D left their mark on SAHA 2026. The GÜÇHAN turbofan engine, unveiled for the first time, attracted attention with its 42,000 lbf thrust. Another system that stood out at the fair was the ONUR Turboshaft Helicopter Engine. Developed by the Ministry of National Defense's R&D, this domestic engine was exhibited for the first time at SAHA 2026. The PNR-53 Sniper Rifle, also among the systems presented, has a range of 2,100 meters and can fire 15,000 rounds at a time.
