Deploying FastAPI to Kubernetes Locally with k3d | Flight Booking Engine | Day 98

Today, our FastAPI backend runs inside Kubernetes for the first time. This is Day 98 of the Flight Booking Engine series. We move beyond rendering Helm templates and deploy the backend into a real local Kubernetes cluster using k3d. PostgreSQL, Redis, and Kafka remain in Docker Compose, while the FastAPI API runs inside Kubernetes. Both environments share a Docker network so the backend Pod can communicate with its dependencies.
