This update to my Camera Match AutoSetup + GeoBuild scripts is built around bringing the real world into 3ds Max, Blender and SketchUp. The headline feature is the deep Google Photorealistic 3D Tiles integration: fetch fully textured, real-world-accurate 3D models of any location directly into your viewport, with new fine-tuning controls — Max Screen Space Error (lower = higher quality) and Max Tile Depth (higher = more detail) — to balance model detail against compute time. In this walkthrough I cover: Google Photorealistic 3D Tiles — fetching accurate textured models (free Google Cloud API key required) Fine-tuning quality vs. compute time with Max Screen Space Error & Max Tile Depth GeoBuild + OpenStreetMap — importing building outlines, heights and names (note the ~5–10m offset) The Crop Photo Tool — recovering accurate matches from pre-cropped publication images The Scene Scale Calculator — auto-setting system units from a real building's height Transplanting cameras between scenes via JSON for maximum accuracy Background toggles for VP lines and the reference photo All of this sits on top of the core engine that already handles automatic vanishing-point detection, camera alignment, and the VP Verified Box for checking accuracy against real structures in your photo.
