Skiing Silverton Mountain 2023 | Is it Really Colorado's Steepest?
Silverton Mountain claims to be "Colorado's steepest Heli & lift served skiing", but it is really? The ski area is percived to be on the same caliber as Jackson Hole, or Snowbird, but does it even stack up to the steeps of Crested Butte? Does it stack up to the Body Bag/Dead End or Highlife area at Crested Butt or does it even stack up to the steeps at Arapahoe Basin? Don't get me wrong there is some great skiing here but I do not feel Silverton is the steepest in Colorado, though its always fun to use one of my Monarch days there after we close!
