Cumbres and Toltec Railroad 100th Anniversary of the K-36 “Day1”
Step back in time as we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Denver & Rio Grandes K-38 class locomotives! On this day the railroad would take 2 separate cut of cars to Cumbres Pass, in preparation of the next 2 days of freight charters. Each train on this day consisted of a freight train with a rear train helper on the rear! This video is a combination of both runs in the right order from Chama to the Pass. Featured locomotives are Denver & Rio Grande Western #488 Denver & Rio Grande Western #484
