DJ QUIK Reps Red to the Fullest and Aligns with Death Row Records with SAFE + SOUND.

Now an established producing-and-rapping entity, DJ Quik got a boost from affiliation with hip-hop’s preeminent record label, Death Row Records, and finally made ample time for his archrival MC Eiht. The only problem was that all the advantages at Quik’s disposal could easily seal his fate as an also-ran to his oft-cited counterpart: Dr. Dre. #djquik #safeandsound #dollazandsense #way2fonky #gangstarap #compton #pfunk #mceiht #drdre #thechronic #gfunk CHAPTERS: 00:00 Intro: An Uphill Battle to be Iller 04:47 Where's the "G"? 08:29 SAFE + SOUND Review 19:02 Stranded on Profile 23:38 Outro: The Album That Sealed Quik's Fate DJ QUIK SERIES: Quik Is the Name (1991)    • DJ QUIK Becomes the First Successful Solo ...   Way 2 Fonky (1992)    • DJ QUIK Battles MC Eiht, Tim Dog as He Fur...   Safe + Sound (1995)    • DJ QUIK Reps Red to the Fullest and Aligns...   Rhythm-al-ism (1998)    • DJ QUIK Finds Love, Peace, and R&B Amid De...   Balance & Options (2000)    • DJ QUIK Finally Ports to a Major Record La...   SELECTED REFERENCES AND RESOURCES: The Art of Dialogue. “MC Eiht On DJ Quik Disrespecting Him At The 95 Source Awards By Performing ‘Dollaz + Sense’.” YouTube.
