Iran’s supreme leader vows revenge for father’s killing
Iranian state media reports that the Revolutionary Guard says the Strait of Hormuz is closed until further notice. It comes as Iran’s new supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, is vowing revenge for his father’s killing, saying it is the “demand” of his country. Khamenei has not been seen since he was severely injured when the war began. His father was killed early in the war by U.S. and Israeli air strikes. NBC News’ Julie Tsirkin has the latest.
