Metro and V/Line Trains at Roxburgh Park

Roxburgh Park, the penultimate station on the Craigieburn line, was opened in 2007 with the electrification of the line from Broadmeadows to Craigieburn. It is an unstaffed station with an island platform accessed via a pedestrian overpass and sits just north of the site of the original Somerton station which closed in 1960. To the immediate east is the Somerton standard guage loop and a large area owned by Austrak which will be home to a massive rail freight hub, on which construction has recently begun. This video shows trains typically seen at this station with lots of Comeng trains, a Siemens, a Vlocity and a Sprinter Filmed October 2024
