This livestream features Yasmine Pahlavi, Crown Princess of Iran in conversation with Lisa Daftari. The discussion addresses the state of women, refugees, and the LGBT+ community within Iran. Since surviving breast cancer in 2018, Crown Princess Yasmine Pahlavi has been active in breaking taboos about the disease for Iranian women. After publicly sharing her diagnosis she began engaging with countless survivors and documented her own experience and recovery to share awareness with the women of Iran. Currently, she is engaged in efforts to support and expand the discourse about Iranian refugees. Having returned from one of the world’s most dangerous refugee camps, Moria in Lesbos, Greece, and being featured in the documentary “The Voiceless Refugees” she has expanded her efforts to coordinate and support nonprofits and NGO’s aiding her refugee compatriots.
