Mabinogi OST Playlist: Milletian's Journey from Generation 4 to Generation 8

Mabinogi OSTs chronologically organized for Chapter 2. The playlist begins with the version of "An Old Story from Grandma" that many will recognize, as it was the log-in theme for many years since its introduction in G4. Due to Iria's vast size, there is no regional OST. I’ve included some OSTs added later as part of the Commerce Update, marked with an asterisk (*), to fill this gap. As if to make up for the regional OST, the NPC OSTs are exceptional, truly capturing the individual themes of the characters—even giving one to an otter! Unfortunately, you interact with these NPCs for only brief moments, and this was my first time listening to their themes fully as well. I concluded the playlist with "The Saga: Iria II," which wraps up Ruairi’s story from the G8 ending. I have not played Mabinogi since G14, so I did not experience the gameplay, but I found the music to be a fitting conclusion to the Iria storyline. (and I feared dev forgot about Ruairi while playing G9~G14, so I am just happy he got an ending.) Rather than following a linear storyline path, Iria introduced a new concept of lore-walking: free exploration. The challenge was that it involved completing obscure Exploration Quests (sketch, you fools), that rewarded obscure books, with obscure texts, hinting at obscure lore. Looking back though, it was well-intentioned. It provided an experience of exploring an unknown world. There was a purity in the gameplay that sought pure excitement and discovery, rather than systematically pursuing items and stats.
