Ali ki Amad, Amad Hai Pakistan Visit 2026

Prince Rahim Aga Khan V, the 50th Imam of the Shia Ismaili Muslim community, visited Pakistan in May 2026 on his first official visit after succeeding his late father, Prince Karim Aga Khan IV. During the visit, he was warmly welcomed by President Asif Ali Zardari and other senior leaders in Islamabad. Prince Rahim held meetings with government officials to discuss education, healthcare, climate resilience, and humanitarian development through the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN). He reaffirmed AKDN’s continued commitment to supporting the welfare and progress of Pakistan, especially in Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral. The visit also had great spiritual importance for the Ismaili community. Thousands of followers gathered in Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral to welcome him with love and respect. His visit strengthened the long-standing relationship between Pakistan and the Aga Khan family, known for their valuable contributions in social development, education, and healthcare across the country.
