Das unterschätzte Problem der Motorradbranche: Wir werden keine Käufer mehr haben.
Welcome to Mental Health Ride – where I combine my passion for motorcycles with honest talks about mental health and mindset. The motorcycle market is changing – and faster than many realize. The data shows that people over 50, and even over 60, currently dominate new registrations. More than half of all newly purchased motorcycles come from riders who are already retired or about to retire. But: This buyer group will shrink significantly in the next 10–15 years. Physical limitations, health – and yes, mortality – are factors the industry can no longer ignore. At the same time, something exciting is happening: 📈 New registrations for riders under 29 are increasing by 16.3%. Young people want to ride motorcycles again – but differently than before. What needs to change: More affordable entry points → especially the driver's license (€3,000–€4,000 is a massive barrier) More entry-level models (350–500 cc, affordable) Understanding electric drives and flexible mobility The industry is at a turning point: Those who react smartly now will win over the next generation. 👉 What do you think – where is this all headed? Share your opinion in the comments; I read (almost) everything and am happy to reply.
