In the final episode of this season, zookeeper Angelika Berkling makes a final tour of the various young animals at the Alfred Brehm House and summarizes their development. Visiting them are: the Chinese leopard Nehama, who has now settled in well in the outdoor enclosure; the six-month-old serval cub Kibo, who will soon be leaving the zoo; and the five-month-old caracal cubs Melua, Esmeralda, and Mazuri. Black lemur cub Lenni has now become quite independent. While he initially stayed only with his mother Uta, Lenni now seems to have bonded with his father Brutus. Sun bear girl Linh isn't quite so independent yet. She doesn't leave her doting mother Tina's side for a second. The little aardvark cub from the zoo wasn't so lucky with his mother, which is why the keepers from the nocturnal animal house are now caring for him. The highlight for the little one is the morning walk with Mario Grüßer, past panthers, tigers, and the rest. Max and Moritz, the zoo's two baby giraffes, are also allowed out into the fresh air for the first time with the grown-ups. What wouldn't animals do for a little food! The coati family descends from the treetops high above. Gorilla Ivo also makes a sincere effort to get his beloved food pellets, which the keepers have previously hidden in tubes. Birthday boy Bao Bao has it easier: To celebrate the day, the 33-year-old is given a cake made of yeast dough, pretzels, and vitamin juice, and the keepers are given sparkling wine.
