I really appreciate you being here and I invite you to follow me! ❤️ We can't imagine Turkish cuisine without the Cataif cake (Kadayif). There are many recipes and variations for this dessert. Today I propose a simple and ultra-fast recipe for Cataif with honey and pistachios. To make everything go super fast and safe, I will use a ready-baked Cataif cake, bought in the store. You can also find it at Arabic specialty stores, or online (including emag). To prepare this Cataif with honey and pistachios, I used a round tray, with a diameter of 34 cm. Don't worry if you see that the tray is much larger than the cake. In the end, you will see that the cake increases its volume a lot, filling the tray nicely. As for the syrup used for the syrup, I prepared it with milk and honey, cold. You can replace the milk with water. Or you can use vegetable milk (like me, I used coconut milk). The amount of honey added is to taste. I don't like very sweet desserts, so I always adjust the amount of sweetener added. It's best to taste the syrup before using it, so you know how to adjust everything. If you like Turkish sweets in their original version, then you will even need to double the amount of honey used in the syrup.
