And of all the wonders of nature, the waterfalls occupy a special place, these being fascinating, thanks to the spectacle they offer. One of the most impressive waterfalls in the country is in the village of Slatina in Nucşoara commune. Although it is less known, the Waterfall Reef Waterfall is one of the most spectacular water falls in Romania, and the route to it is of special beauty, through the mountains of Fagaras, to the Curmătura Maliţei and then to the Rea Valley, which can be admired numerous water drops, smaller and bigger. The waterfall belongs to the Alpine Valley Rea Valley - Zarna, one of the most important tourist attractions in Muntenia The Great Valley of the Rea Valley, situated along the Valea Rea Stream, can be admired in all its splendor, especially in the spring, when snow melts, when it has an impressive flow. The waterfall is part of the Alpine Valley Rea Valley - Zarna, a mixed nature reserve. It was declared a protected area of ​​national interest in 2004 and is located in the southern part of the Făgăraş Mountains, in the basin of the Doamne River, stretching over an area of ​​6,480 hectares. The alpine hole includes a varied relief with glacial lakes, valleys, springs, gorges, rocky abrupts, meadows, pastures and is one of the most important tourist attractions in Muntenia. The Valea Rea Creek is located beneath the ridge of the Făgăraş Mountains, right from the glacier boom beneath Moldoveanu peak, the highest in the Romanian Carpathians, where there is also a glacier lake of triangular form, at an altitude of 2,156 m. The water then flows down the valley to the south, crossing three successive glacier sills, where it is thrown into the water by three waterfalls, the middle one being the largest - over 30 m. The waterfall is accessible only on tourist trails, either from the north, from The Fagaras country, crossing the ridge of the mountains and descending from Portiţa Viştei on the valley, either from the south, from the Nucşoara commune, on the valley of the Doamnei River, after crossing a forest road of about 40 km. The tourist path in the Rea Valley, passing by the three waterfalls, has a red triangle mark - just like the trail on the Valea Mare Mare, which goes up from Ardeal, from Victoria to the ridge and can be crossed in approx. 7-8 hours. From the end of the forest road, at an altitude of 1,420 m, it reaches about 100 m, on the path marked with red triangle, at the valley of the Rea Valley. The landscape that opens from here is one of the most beautiful, enjoying the panorama of the Upper Valley, Alpine, with the Reef Valley waterfalls, especially the top.
