This razor is made of metal and uses pre-split half-blades or you can split, snap, or cut a double edge blade in half and insert it into this razor. Thus making the razor economical and fun to shave with. You can select between the Twig (less aggressive) or the Thorn (more aggressive) shaving. The unique design allows you to spin the dial at the bottom to open and close the razor and a built in magnet that holds the blade in place while you tighten the razor. First, a walk-around the box-then a description of the razor and then lathering up and shaving with it. An Astra blade is snapped in half and installed.
