The Schwertwal was a German Tier X heavy assault tank. Its formidable 15 cm gun inflicted significant damage per shot, making it ideal for close-quarters combat. The turret was extremely durable with no weak points. Basic mobility was improved by long-lasting, robust thrusters. This tank was designed to overcome the weaknesses and develop the advantages of the Panzerkampfwagen VI and VI Ausf. B (Tiger II). The main improvements were in the armor, which was constructed from multiple cast parts to simplify production. Additionally, a crucial solution was placing the engine and gearbox in a single compartment, improving the layout. The chassis retained its staggered wheel design, ensuring smooth movement, while solid-fuel rocket engines from the R4M Orkan were mounted on either side to aid self-rescue, providing better propulsion in emergency situations.
