Two Movies, One President: Crazy 1981 Attempt on Ronald Reagan's Life
This is by far one of the most "truth is stranger than fiction" stories I've ever done. In 1981, a mentally unstable man, John Hinckley Jr, attempted to end Ronald Reagan's life because of a movie and actress he obsessed about. And the Secret Service who saved the President's life, Jerry Parr, was there because when he was a child, he too obsessed about a movie that inspired him to join the organization.
