Is it worth buying or not? The Pixel 8 undoubtedly takes everything that was good about its predecessor and improves on it. The smartphone is now: more beautiful to look at, thanks to its optimized edges and brighter display more compact and comfortable to use slightly more powerful capable of offering longer battery life capable of taking slightly better photos There's also some artificial intelligence, but I honestly don't consider it a major aspect, since it's more marketing than anything concrete right now. In short, in practice, design and battery life aside, the differences compared to the Pixel 7 aren't that great, so I'm not so sure it's worth the upgrade. While the Pixel 8 is an excellent smartphone in many respects, for the same price there are the Xiaomi 13 and Galaxy S23/23+, which are certainly slightly "worse" in terms of software and updates, but offer better or at least very similar performance when it comes to power, display, battery life, reception, and cameras. The Pixel 8 is an excellent smartphone, but considering the price increase compared to last year, it's perhaps not the best among Android compacts.
