RAF pilot remembers flying Hawker Hunter jet through Tower Bridge | ITV News
It was one of the most extraordinary aviation events in post-war Britain. The sight of a low flying Hawker Hunter jet, twisting and turning down the River Thames before flying right through Tower Bridge. The risky manoeuvre - performed in 1968 - cost the RAF pilot his job but half a century on he says he still remembers it like yesterday - and has even had a painting commissioned.
