Big Country: The Seer featuring Kate Bush (Duet Mix)
Robin Millar; the original producer of Big Country's 1986 album "The Seer" mixed the title track to be a duet between Stuart Adamson and Kate Bush. Feeling that the resulting album wasn't geared enough towards North American audiences, the studio had the album remixed into what was eventually released globally. Unfortunately, in the new version, Kate's vocals were pushed so far back into the background, she her contribution was barely audible. Subsequent re-releases did not restore the original vocal tracks, and eventually it was revealed that the original recordings had been lost. With AI-driven vocal extraction technologies, the original vocals were extracted from the album version of The Seer and mixed back into the original recording, bringing out vocal nuances that are otherwise lost in the original mix. In this version, Kate’s accompaniment is clearly audible.
