The new VI series features many upgrades which include a weight reduction on key sizes, a new silent anti-reverse, and a more refined - adjustable Dura-Drag system. PENN’s new lug design makes it impossible for line to snag and break off. The Dura-Drag material contains a special Phenolic bonding agent that prevents premature breakdown of the carbon fibre material while providing a barrier to water. The Adjustable Strike Stop gives the angler infinite drag adjustability to set their reel up for maximum performance. Quick-Shift™ 2-Speed system easily shifts into high or low gear The PENN International VI series is designed and manufactured in the USA of domestic and imported components. Precision machined from high-strength, lightweight, aircraft grade aluminum in their Philadelphia machining center. PENN's experienced crew has been designing and producing durable, high-quality reels in this facility since 1932. The fully machined stainless steel gear train is the biggest in the business. The Dura-Drag system results in a smoother start up and virtually eliminates hesitation, even under extreme drag settings.
