JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – Joint investigators from the Indonesian National Police's Corruption Eradication Commission (Kortastipidkor) and the Jakarta Metropolitan Police (Polda Metro Jaya) arrived at the Attorney General's Office Round Building on Tuesday afternoon to submit the investigation administration files and the investigation report (BAP) related to the alleged corruption and money laundering case implicating the former Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus), Febrie Adriansyah. Investigators arrived at around 1:18 PM WIB (Western Indonesian Time), carrying a suitcase containing the BAP and investigation administration documents as a follow-up to the submission of three alleged corruption cases to the Attorney General's Office. Previously, the Jakarta Metropolitan Police (Polda Metro Jaya) collaborated with the FBI and the United States Embassy in Jakarta to verify the authenticity of US$5.8 million in cash evidence. Police also involved the Singapore Embassy to test the authenticity of Singapore dollars as part of the formal laboratory testing process for the evidence. In this case, investigators seized at least US$5.8 million, S$17.2 million, and Rp5.3 billion in cash. In addition, the police have also partnered with PT Pegadaian to test the physical authenticity, purity, and actual weight of the 74 kilograms of gold as evidence. Meanwhile, the Attorney General's Office (AGO) stated that former Special Crimes Director (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah remains in Indonesia. No questioning has been scheduled for him yet.
