Lewis took his last breath. We were by his bedside. In fact, right before he was to take his last breath, his wife, Kshama Lewis, had just shared her recent prayer that if the Lord didn’t heal Pastor Lewis then a very important part of Psalm 126:2 couldn’t happen! The part about the heathen: "Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them." (Psalm 126:2) Her prayer was: “Lord! We’ve been in this place for two weeks, surrounded by a few who believe but a majority who don’t believe that you can heal! The heathen need to be able to see you work so that they can know to call you “The LORD” and acknowledge and believe that You are who You say You are!” Well, the Lord heard that prayer and He will do with it what He will. But this we know: The Lord is never limited. He works in his own time and way and he will fulfill His word! So while the Lord’s answer was not the outcome we had prayed and hoped for, we still bow the knee in humble adoration to our God and King who loved and heard every sincere prayer that came before His throne.
