Homelessness in Hartlepool

Wayne, a Hartlepool resident, has been homeless and sofa surfing for months. He attributes his homelessness to excessive partying and allowing people who stole from him into his home. Wayne has also been drinking daily for 11 months and admits to choosing homelessness. Interviewing Wayne highlighted the importance of engaging with those on the margins of society to understand their circumstances.
