Pastor Joram Rusere - Character Romans 5:3-4;12:1; -To be born again changes our spirit not out character. -The spirit is born again ,your soul has to be renewed by word of God. -You character takes time to change. -Being born again is not enough without working out on your character. -We only change our character through the word of God. -When you are born again, a seed of salvation is planted in you but you have to cultivate it through the word of God. -After being born again, your work is to develop a Godly character. -Christ must be seen in your character. -Preach the gospel at all times and when necessary use words. -Good character is intentional. Character definition 1. It is moral or ethical qualities that distinguish an individual 2. It is integrity and reputation. -Integrity is how behave when no one is looking -You can never know people until you with them. -Personality is the image,character is the container. -Character is what you are when you are alone. 3.It is the way that you are known. -Character in Greek means to be approved. -What you don't want people to known is what they know. -Your character has to be recommended by someone that you are good. -You should know yourself. Know your limitation. -If your weakness conquers you in private ,it will soon humiliate in public. Private victory precedes public victory. -Knowledge will give power but character will give you respect. -Man of character is trusted. -It is not about the title but it is all about the character. -A man of bad character punishes his own soul. -Bad character repels people against you ,good character attracts towards you. -Your character will cause people to love you -The real test of character is not how you treat your equals,but how you treat those under you.Matthew 7:12; Developing a good character 1.Character can be learned. 2. Character can be caught. Philippians 2:22; 3. It is developed by accepting advise,rebuke and positive criticism. 4. It is developed trough trial and tests. -Success does not test character but exposes it. -Prosperity without character is disaster. -If you don't work your character ,it will act as gravity.Since gravity brings things down, Your character will bring you down. -When God wants you to grow He will make it uncomfortable. -God is not delaying you but preparing you for your blessings. -God will not release you prematurely because you might get in the way of your destiny/blessings.
