VSTAR Sticky Shifter Issue Explained - a.k.a Shifter Screw Issue
I have a 2006 VSTAR 1100 with a shifter that started to stick while shifting. The issue is common and requires about $50 and about an hour to fix. This is also known as a shifter screw issue. You will need a new and crankcase gasket, oil, and possibly a new screw.
