This trip was much more than just a simple motorcycle ride. Alê is going to have surgery, and we decided to do what would be his "last ride" before this new phase. I left Rio de Janeiro at 4 am to try and catch the sunrise in the Serra de Teresópolis. At 8 am I met Alê and Bruno for breakfast and we headed towards Sumidouro. Along the way we were treated to incredible landscapes, impressive valleys, lots of dirt roads, and places that surprised us at every turn. We had fun on the famous Ponte de Arame (Wire Bridge), where we made a bet to see who could cross without touching it, in addition to the impressive Conde D'Eu Waterfall, which was one of the highlights of the trip. The day ended with a very cold day in Nova Friburgo, lunch at 5 pm, and the certainty that this was one of those trips that will stay in your memory.
