JESUS QUISPE ARONES, MANCOMUNIDAD DE LOS ANDES

The Executive Director of the Andean Commonwealth, which comprises six regional governments—Ayacucho, Huancavelica, Apurimac, Junín, Cusco, and Ica—discusses the work experience of one of the country's most important intermunicipal associations, its future projections, and the much-demanded decentralization in Peru. He also reports on important events that have taken place, such as EXPO PERU ANDES 2026, held in the city of Huancavelica, and the upcoming Mining Convention, ANDES MIN 2026, which will be held in the city of Ayacucho. Ica was the first city to host the first Mining Convention, which has highlighted the significant political, economic, and social importance of mining activities within the Commonwealth and each of its member regions.
