Plain Tiger , is a medium-sized butterfly widespread in Asia, Australia and Africa , primarily consume plants in the genus Asclepias, more commonly called milkweed. Milkweed contains toxic compounds, cardenolides, which are often consumed and stored by many butterflies. 金斑蝶是屬於蛺蝶科的一種蝴蝶，是斑蝶屬的一種。廣泛分佈於衣索比亞界、東洋界及澳新界。模式產地為中國廣東。 翅膀中央鮮橙色，翅緣和前翅頂區呈黑色，有一道白色斜斑。雄蝶後翅有一囊狀性標。幼蟲的寄主皆為夾竹桃科植物，全部有毒。
