Chennai News: Daily Footfall Jumps By 55% After Amma Canteens Revamp, Revenue Crosses Rs 1.35 Crore

The Amma canteens in Chennai have undergone a major renovation drive, leading to a significant increase in both daily footfall and revenue. All 383 canteens in the city were renovated following directives issued in May. According to new data released by the Chennai Corporation, the daily footfall of beneficiaries has increased by over 55 percent, rising from an average of 67,000 in April to more than one lakh. Additionally, the monthly revenue has jumped from approximately 87 lakh rupees in April to over one crore 35 lakh rupees.
