When the Muslim army faced their most pivotal, terrifying battles, Al-Bara’ didn’t just join the front lines; he became the front line. During the fierce Battle of Yamamah, when the army was stuck outside the enemy's locked fortress walls, Al-Bara’ made a terrifying request: "Put me on a shield, lift it on spears, and throw me over the wall." They did. He fought his way through an entire army single-handedly to open the gates from the inside, saving the day. The Prophet ﷺ famously said of him that if Al-Bara’ were to take an oath by Allah, Allah would surely fulfill it. True strength isn’t measured by how the world sees you.
