Parthian Shot (Direct)

Parthian shot is a route that has seen several different incarnations, both in the minds of aspiring climbers, and physically through broken holds and protection. After large parts of the infamous flake snapped off, first in 2011 and again in 2023, the route is much harder and bolder than when it was first climbed, and had only been lead with a high "side runner" to back-up the poor gear in the flake. Intent on living up to the legacy of John Dunne, I decided to do away with this piece and attempt the route in the style John climbed it all those years ago.
