Idlewild Park Carousel
This is a 1931 PTC carousel at Idlewild Park in Ligonier, PA. It's one of the few antique carousels that has a working band organ and Wurlitzer Calliola which is a air opperated Caliope. The band organ is a Wurlitzer 103 and I believe the Calliola was playing a medley of Rogers and Hammerstein songs. Note the leather leather stirrups on the horses on the outer ring (standers). The first piece of music (played during the photo's in the first part of the video) can be found on Bill Black's Carousel Music CD featuring the Wurlitzer 153. Go to Carrousel Music on the web and you'll find it there.
