The tillage unit, paired with the Rostselmash 2375 tractor, is a combination of an AMAZONE Catros 3003 compact disc harrow and an AMAZONE KR 9002 carrier. The unit's effective working width is 9.0 m. The Catros compact disc harrow is an excellent tool for shallow and intensive stubble cultivation in medium to heavy soils. Even in soils with a high organic matter content, such as this one, the 510 mm diameter spherical discs work without clogging. Intensive soil mixing ensures rapid and uniform emergence of volunteer grain and weeds. The tillage depth is adjustable from 5 to 14 cm. For better field contour following and protection against damage, each disc is mounted on an individual suspension with a rubber spring damper. The working speed ranges from 12 to 18 km/h. The set tillage depth is maintained using a compacting roller with wedge-shaped discs. The wedge-shaped discs ensure optimal compaction and create favorable conditions for ideal seed germination. The entire unit weighs approximately 8.5 tons. For transport from one field to another, the side consoles are hydraulically folded to a transport width of 7.0 m. The unit shown requires a tractor with an engine power of at least 290 hp.
