The entire population of the small town of Mendon, Massachusetts is seen decked out in bunting, and there are many celebrations and a special memorial to those local residents who lost their lives in the conflict. Mendon is a town in Worcester County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 5,839 at the 2010 census. Mendon is very historic and is now part of the Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor, the oldest industrialized region in the United States.
