The Dawn held their milestone 40th anniversary concert, titled KWARENTA, yesterday on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at The Theatre at Solaire. As Pinoy rock pillars, the band delivered a career-spanning setlist from their 1987 self-titled debut album up to their 2018 album Ascendant. Their iconic breakout single, "Enveloped Ideas," served as a major highlight of the night, taking fans back to their mid-1980s New Wave rock roots. Concert Overview Event Name: Kwarenta: The Dawn 40th Anniversary Concert Venue: The Theatre at Solaire, Entertainment City, Parañaque City Show Schedule: The Theatre bar opened at 6:00 PM, the main concert began at 8:00 PM, and an SVIP exclusive after-party took place at 11:00 PM. Creative Direction: Directed by Paolo Valenciano with musical direction by Gino Cruz. Performance Highlights & Setlist Favorites"Enveloped Ideas": The band’s defining synth-rock anthem that catapulted them from club favorites to national rock legends was a highly anticipated centerpoint of the setlist. Classic Anthems: Fans sang along to timeless hits like "Salamat", "Iisang Bangka", and "Tulad ng Dati". Reunions & Tributes: The production paid visual homage to the historic 1987 Oktoberstorm concert. Former members Kenneth Ilagan, Buddy Zabala, and Caloy Balcells joined them on stage. Guest artist Leny Llapitan of Identity Crisis also joined for a guest performance, and a replica of the late Teddy Diaz’s guitar was displayed on stage throughout the show as a tribute.
