Comments: "It takes me back to the good old days of $2.50 Saturday matinees, a bucket of buttered popcorn, and an ice-cold Coca-Cola. The Magic Sword is an innocent foray into childhood fantasies. Whether you intend it or not, this film is humorous and simple in its aim, 'Let's have fun.' It's your typical sword and sorcerer film with all the clichés, fire-breathing dragons, rock-throwing ogres, and evil henchmen. The sets and costumes fit perfectly for the early sixties. I loved the script and the special effects." - Written by Bill-434 on IMDb.com "This has to be one of the best Bert I. Gordon films I've ever seen - perhaps his best. I find it amazing what he managed to create with a low budget - it looks and feels as good as any high-budget epic film of the time. The sets and costumes are as fantastic as those in high-budget films. The special effects..." These are great for your day and better than some of today's latest low-budget special effects. The grandiose cinematography creates a misery that I enjoy. And the acting is quite good, the story is fun. It's a drama sprinkled with wholesome comedy. I saw this as a child/teenager and am very glad to see it all these years later. I received the 4-Pack Sorcerer's Apprentice films just for this movie. And this is the only film that's really worth seeing out of the 4 films. I would only recommend buying this film as a single copy instead of the 4 films I received, but one might find one of the other 3 films entertaining, but I doubt it. 8.5/10" - Written by Rainey-Dawn on IMDb.com Also Known As (AKA): (original title) The Magic Sword Argentina La espada mágica Brazil As Sete Maldições de Lodac Canada (English title) The Magic Sword Canada (title in French) L'épée enchantée Denmark Det sorte sværd Finland Taikamiekka France L'épée enchantée Germany (DVD title) St. George und der Drache Germany (DVD title) Ascalon, das Zauberschwert Greece (transliterated title) Para magiko spathi Hungary A bűvös kard Italy La spada magica Mexico La espada mágica Portugal A Espada Mágica Soviet Union (Russian title) Волшебный меч Spain La espada mágica Sweden 7 äventyr Turkey (Turkish title) Sihirli kılıç UK (video title) The Sorcerer's Curse UK St. George and the 7 Curses USA The Magic Sword Venezuela La espada Magic West Germany Das Zauberschwert West Germany Ascalon, das Zauberschwert Worldwide (English title) The Seven Curses of Lodac St. George and the Dragon St. George and the Seven Curses ····················································································· SUPPORT US! ✘ Membership - https://bit.ly/3DFzWCN MORE FILMS! ► Film Noir: https://bit.ly/3HRNuvK ► Film Classics: https://bit.ly/3GebkS6 ► All playlists: https://bit.ly/2AsmqTR #filmclassics #classicmovies #classics ······································································································ COPYRIGHT: All of the films published by us are legally licensed.
