USA vs. Germany | EXTREME Christmas decoration | German traditions

We have just moved to Boston a few months ago and this year is our first year of experiencing Christmas in the US. In this video, I talk about how my neighbourhood looks like in these days with all the lights and extreme American Christmas decorations. I will share why my husband almost got a heart attack buying a Christmas tree and I will also talk about some German traditions that cannot be found in the US. ***Content of this Video*** 00:00 – Intro 01:09 – Christmas decorations, German Christmas pyramid & Schwibbogen ("Candle-holder") 03:19 – Christmas tree and why you should not put them on your roof 06:29 – Christmas wreath ***ABOUT US*** We are a family of four who moved from Cologne, Germany to Boston, Massachusetts in July of 2021. In my videos, I talk about our experiences as family living abroad, cultural differences, things we like and dislike about living here, funny stories and our everyday life in the USA. And it all comes with a flavour of German directness ;-). Please let me know what YOU would like to hear about in the comments below!
