This trip means so much more than just checking another destination off my bucket list. After years without international travel, I finally took my first international flight since the pandemic, and it came at a time when I needed it the most. Just days before this journey, I experienced one of the hardest emotional breakdowns I've ever had. I was mentally, emotionally, and physically exhausted. This 7-day, 6-night adventure in Taiwan became more than a vacation. It became a reminder that it's okay to pause, to breathe, to heal, and to choose yourself. With every new place I explored, every meal I enjoyed, every train ride, every breathtaking view, and every laugh I shared, I slowly remembered what it felt like to truly live… not just survive.
