Bristol Glasgow Bristol 1600km // the UK's toughest audax??

The Bristol-Glasgow-Bristol audax is a pig. Riders have seven days to cover a distance of 1600km (just over 1000 miles) and an elevation gain of 90,000+ feet (27,620metres) including some long off-road sections (Wayfarers, Cam High Road, Salter Fell, Galloway Forest, Kielder Forest and others). Prior to this year's edition only 17 riders had completed the route within the allotted time. That number now stands at 22. Damian and I rode as a pair, electing to wild camp as much as we could en route. It was the hardest thing I've ever done (that's what she said) and will NEVER be repeated.
