SEW WITH ME- Burda 6342-1 Easy Women's Pleated Skirt with Zipper

Welcome to my first Sew With Me! I will be doing a sewing tutorial on how to sew an women’s pleated skirt using Burda Style #6342-B, and it includes a sewing tip on how to sew on a zipper. No muslin is required. I walk you through how to pick a pattern size and make adjustments- including a pattern hack of how to make this larger or smaller if needed. Tools you’ll need: Burda Pattern #6342 https://simplicity.com/burda-style/bu... Fabric - I chose a 100% Cotton from JoAnns- but this pattern calls for either cotton or a blend. Notions: Thread, Interfacing, a 9” Invisible Zipper, 2 yds (1.40-1.80m) of 1 ⅝” Ribbon Steps: Step 1- Lay pleats out on front and back skirt panels- baste along the top. Stitch the right side together. Step 2- Pin waistband to top of skirt - stitch. Step 3- Pin ribbon along the outside of the waistband and stitch. Step 4- Pin zipper along the left side of skirt and stitch. Step 5- Pin the lower left side of the skirt together and stitch. Step 6- Fold waistband over - to the inside of the skirt - and stitch.
